Desert

When returning to this work I decided to cut away the bottom half of the image rather than continue to work on the cliffs that I couldn’t be content with. I added more dunes and fixed mistakes in the background. The ‘dust storm’ effect around the floating structure was initially created by accident with the mixing brush tool (shown in the earlier version below) and I decided to keep it and built upon it further. I also touched up the line work on the nearest structure and added cooler shadows to make it more defined.
